Grand Gorge was a stop on the former Ulster and Delaware Railroad. Currently the Ulster and Delaware railroad tracks end near Hubbell Corners and Route 30. There is a turntable (from Kingston) sitting on the current Delaware & Ulster Railroad property in Grand Gorge. In the past, there were plans to extend track operation from Roxbury to Grand Gorge. The turntable is very big. The last 2 photos below help demonstrate the size with the person standing in the photo.
