A former Ulster and Delaware Railroad Bridge once crossed over the Stony Clove Creek in Chichester (south of Lanesville). Because of the the record flooding caused by Hurricane Irene the former railroad bridge was washed away. It was in use as a private driveway. According to John Ham in his book Light Rail and Short Ties (page 275) this was the last remaining structure on the Stony Clove Branch.
